Art Walks
Experiencing art in St. Pete is no one and done sort of deal. In partnership with St. Pete’s multiple art districts, St. Petersburg Arts Alliance coordinates a Second Saturday Artwalk every month. If you’re an art buff, the sheer breadth of artists and galleries featured in the Artwalk will be nothing short of a delight. Best of all, it’s free!
Art Festivals
If street art is more your style, SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival is coming up from October 15-24, 2021. Featuring vibrant guest artists and a new series of community murals set to inspire, SHINE is an event no street art enthusiast would want to miss. Come grab a special brew of “Spraycation” ale at Bayboro Brewing on Saturday and enjoy the festival in sunny Tampa Bay style.
Modern Art Museums
St. Petersburg boasts an impressive array of art museums, including the Museum of the American Arts & Crafts Movement, Dalí Museum, James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art, the Chihuly Collection, and more.
The Dalí Museum is especially spectacular, which is reflected by its Trip Advisor’s Traveler’s Choice award in 2021. At the Dali Museum, not only can you experience the current exhibits featuring Aimé Césaire and Lee Miller, but you can also learn about Dalí’s life through the Dalí Lives AI exhibit and learn everything about the man himself, from the man himself. Surreal enough for you?
Whether you go to the museums, do the Artwalk, or watch someone spray paint a mural over a pint, there’s a little something for all kinds of art enthusiasts in St. Petersburg.
